Cold. wet & homesick ride
Saturday down my way around Lake Brockman area.
A mix of everything, 80-100 k's depending on how cold, wet & homesick it gets.
Meet at mine in Waroona around 8.15 or head out along Louge Brook Dam road & wait at the water tanks just past Lake Brockman entrance where the road turns to dirt at 8.30.
5 minute drive then to parking spot.

Pic of the day goes to Dorian for the one handed Wheelie.
Perfect day for it today but being a long weekend we only ended up with 3 riders. Someone forgot to bring their pants and someone else forgot to wear their gloves for the ride. Still had a good ride and finished off with a nice feed of fish and chips and a couple of coldies at the tavern.

Anyone up for a Sawyers Valley ride to Pig shooter hill on Saturday? It will be a more open ride with about 40% single and a couple of optional hill climbs. Fuel for 100klm so two strokes may need to carry some. I will be taking the 500 for this one. Starting at the back of the Sawyers Valley Tavern, stands up at 8:30.

There was lots of talk about bus passes & trying to get bikes on the bus, it's all we could guess on Todd missing two rides in a row.

A4dE day 1 de-signing :Starters - HM (water.nibblies and fuel bitch), JNR, Slates (part time),Pounce, Baden (T&E), Brian (T&E).Todd was in then out ,so no show (age thing). Was a fine day for it.We only had one and a half loops to do.Guys finished about 1.30 ish.As usual a few dramas.Firstly Slates pulled out (PPM award) and JNR cleverly covered his headlight with his de-signing bag and cooked his headlight.Something to remember,As I have mentioned previously, this is one of the fun parts of an event and JNR will now vouch for it.The more the merrier.Any way all over till next time.
We finished off with a HM sausage sizzle and a couple of beers.hanks for the help guys.

Top job on the report hooters and another fantastic sweep/bush mechanic effort by Extreme Jacko. Rob that ride was a lot harder than the standard crusty ride, you would be 100% ok on the normal rides.

But I would still like to complete the full 16 hill ride later in the year depending on interest from others, so hit me up if you are keen.

Cheers to Mick n the boys for Saturdays 16 hills ride. Morning start at the Lakes, had me all fired up for a full throttle crack at me ol stomping grounds, Sawyers valley. Didnt take long for me ol stomping grounds to remind me that both me n my bike were bit old n rusty and really not up to the challenge. Luckily Jacko's magic putty saved me the 3 days push back to the cars. All good at the end with beers n banter.

Saturdays “where’s Toddy “
Mickal, Hooters, Simon, Burt (1/2 point 😬) Jack (1/2 point😬) Rob (3/4 point 😬) Dave not so slow, Jacko (2 points 👍👍)

Mick called a ride at the lakes after coping a good natured serve from Todd for his flat trails. So he put a fine hills a thrills ride together and Mother Nature chucked in a billion rocks just to make it interesting. Where was Todd you ask……. f**k knows was the answer. Apparently watching the best riders in Australia at the A4DE was more important 🤬🤬. We met at the Lakes and drove to a park spot couple of new boys Simon and Jacko’s neighbor Rob. Bit nippy but perfect day. Burt made about 3 hills and the 300 was boiling and so was he - alas we had no durries to sort him out ( Bunga’s secret reviver) So we did a map check and Burt was off home - said something about f**k Todd and his fuggin hills 😂
Anyway off we went again wicked trails but everything was dry loose an rocky brought most of us unstuck , nah actually just Dave 😂😂 Few more hills and Rob run outta rock repellant and gassed out on a hill, but the sweep dived in for a rescue put his arse on the line and gassed out too! 2 men down- well needed a solid breather anyway. Both men dug deep and came good……ish!! The rock strewn knights hill claimed Rob with a rock knocking his fuel tap - after bike was carelessly thrown on you guessed it - a rock. Super sweep dived into action and sorted it with the magic quick metal. By then Jack had decided he is a boatie that rides bikes sometimes, and ditched us to go look at a boat 🤦‍♂️ Rob was happy to run shotgun back to the cars as he was worried about the beer being unattended- hehe sucked in- car keys to the car fridge and ice cold amber goodness still safely in jacko’s bag. Few more hills and super sweep was done so we decided we’d all cruise back to cars 50km done. Sounds easy but it wasn’t, great trails, bit more challenging than usual 50 km took over 4hrs. Back at the cars, beers, lies and bag Todd some more 😂😂
Cheers Mick for leading, Jacko - big effort mate thanks for sweeping and of course Todd

Thanks everyone who came on yesterdays ride, it was great to be out on the bike. We need some rain and we cut the ride a bit short but my body is thanking me today.
Special thanks to Mick for the lead, Jacko for the sweeping and repair skills and Hooters for a pending report.
