Hooter’s shit show #2
Hooters, DT200(Andy) , Jed,Tommy, Bunga, Cairnsy, Buzz, Darryl dangerous, Rossco

Julimar, 9 of us booted ready to ride. Me leading, (kind of) Bunga sweeping. The work experience kid was in charge of the weather forecast again, sposed to be showers was fuggin rain for most of the morning so getting changed in the rain, riding in the rain and changing in the rain, not heavy but ….🤬🤬
We headed off down the fence, oh 9 bikes only 1 four banga!, a blast along the track to my usual single then we headed north to the hills - with Tommy helping with directions we were trying to dodge the usual way and huge puddles, a lot of open trails good for a blast with plenty of stops for directions and durries. A brief stop for a gear lever for Bunga, luckily Tommy had one. That’s definitely something someone in the crew should have ktm gear lever - woulda wrecked Bunga’s day but it was a five minute inconvenience thanks to Tommy. We were about as far from the cars as ya can get and the trusty four banga, embarrassed to be hanging with the two smokers decided it needed a wee rest. A bit of humming and harring and battery swap was decided on- luckily we had a sparkie 🤦‍♂️ 😂 the non sparkies swapped battery’s with mine the only carby bike with a kick start. Lost about half an hour I reckon but both bikes running and both bikes charging so a mystery there. We headed back just in case Tommy leading, stressing a bit bout his bike dying- the rest of us having a fat time in the pack. A few small get offs a few submarines but not real drama. There was talk of a round 2 after dropping Tommy but we arrived back all soaked but happy, just an all round fun morning. Beers and parmi’s at Bullsbrook.
Cheers for the help Tommy, Bunga for sweeping

Well, what a day at Logue Brook.Pounce on fire, leading a top ride with nice trails and some very very overgrown tight tracks thrown in.The rocky hills added to the carnage and fun of course.
Much more of that stuff and I will get a radiator fan for the poor old 300.Boiled in that slow tight stuff.Must fix that brake squeal too.It pisses me off, so must annoy the shit out of others.
I think it must have been fill in Pikey day.First Hooters (which I knew was going to happen cause its Hooters) then JNRs young bloke ZAC did the same.He gave it away by getting in the fill in position. All makes for a good laugh.
Great to see Ash back in the fold.Once its in there you cant get that bike stuff out of your blood.A lot of us have done the same in our life. Also great to see the new young blood getting their bikes dirty.
Thanks Jacko for looking after us at the back.
Pounce had better tell us what he put on his breakfast cereal that morning.I want some of whatever it was.

Thanks pounce for a a great ride had a ball didn't think I would of had so much fun considering my tyre's were buggered and then rear brake packed it in on the first decent hill so about 30km in so the rest of the day was engine brake and front brake only. Misses informed me we left nsw in 2016 so 7 years since had a ride on a enduro bike didn't think I would have missed the 500 and that's why I gave it to the young bloke but now happy to have it back a little fine tuning with brakes ,tyre's and some rego and keen for next ride . And thanks to Jacko for going sweep

Cheers to everyone, we started up with 14 & ended the last 10 k's with 12. I clocked up spot on 80 klm's.
It was a great fun loop too, about time I tried tying all the bits together but I'm sure I can make it better.
Jacko swept as he's want to so a big thanks to him again.
The racing in the middle I didn't get to see but there were some stories of legendary tactics.
A couple got filled in by others, a fair few laid down on slippery pine logs, muddy hills & general bouncing about on rocks.
You could always tell when two certain bikes were right up your clacker, either a squeak from the brakes of a 300 or a roar from a 500 exhaust.
I'm laid up on the couch today rattling from pills.
Much thanks, I really enjoyed the day.

OK cool cats.
Saturday 22nd, skinny ride around the Lake Brokman area.
80 odd klm's, a mix of everything from some of the 4 days single tracks to muddy rocky hills with a couple of optional tricky bits to play on.
Meet at the water tanks on Logue Brook Dam Rd just past Lake Brokman entrance at 8.30...

...then a 5 minute drive to the parking spot.

Let's try to keep it to a max of 12.

Hey Crusties, it was a pleasure to ride with you guys, ideal riding conditions, plenty of laughs, everyone looking after each other through the field, the pace even picked up just after lunch for half an hour, not sure why? Thanks to Krackers, Mike and Bunga for sweeping. A special thanks to Beta - Krackers for providing plenty of mayhem throughout the day :)

I always know the next day when I've had a good ride, or better still, my back tells me all about it.
If Dave calls it again, get on it. Lots of single, some really good fast flowing sections, one hill you just hoped the back stayed behind the front on the way down, one hill you hoped the front stayed on the ground on the way up, lots of water & lots of laughs. Met some new blokes who again are much quicker than me.
Cheers Dave, Crackers, Bunga & Pikey.

Dave, top ride Sunday. Thanks for all the top young riders out there keeping the old fellas honest. There were some spots I had never been to.The log and creek was one the highlights.
It must have good, as my mind could not shutdown. I was still riding at 2 in the morning. (:
Pulled up a bit stiff,so worked out I need to ride more.Bring on next weekend Pounce.
I have to remember Crackers face so I can repay the fill in favour. Mind you, he did buy me two pints before ,so maybe we are even.
