Tommy's 200th

It was a beautiful day at Wokalup today and 7 Crusties Tommy DazzaM Antt Martyn KTMShaun 2slow JNR and JNR's friend Craig (apologies if i have your name wrong) showed up to celebrate Tommy's milestone.

DazzaM did a great job as always leading and Antt also did a great job as sweep all day. Thanks to both of you.

We set off from the cars and it was immediately obvious we were going to be in for a dusty ride, we rode accordingly and still had a great time. We had covered a bit of ground, dodged some roos, avoided losing half the group, rode a bit more, did some hills, single track and even found a creek. There were a couple of minor offs which was not surprising as it was very skatey. Shortly after I was stopped on a corner and KTM Shaun pulled up near me and said something that I couldn't hear and waved me on as Antt the sweep arrived. It turned out Shaun must have said "I've only packed my Purple Princess Cream in my bum bag and i've forgotten my Harden Up Cream" because at our next regroup Antt informed us that Shaun had taken himself home. We were down to seven.

I hope your back is ok Shaun and 100% ready for when the rain comes.

We continued on for a while heading back in the general direction of the cars, JNR was cornerman and i was following Craig through the corner, Craig lined up JNR and unleashed a major fill in from his 570 (what would your mother say, "it will end in tears" or "someones going to get heart") the 570 sprayed so much gravel it probably dented JNR's fork tubes then the back end flicked the other way Craig ended up half under the bike, half over the bike and allover the track. He stood up gingerly and I picked his bike up for him, he had twisted his knee badly so after JNR had stopped laughing we dosed him up with some anti inflammatories and took the short way back to the cars.

An early exit fro JNR and Craig and we were down to five. I hope the knee is only minor and recovers soon.

We had a quick splash of fuel and were on our way again we did some more hills Martyn came down a nasty one and dropped the front wheel over a big rock and went over the bars in spectacular fashion.
We rode to some areas i have never been to before, on the way back we came across a short steep little hill Daz and Martyn "styled" it up there easily, Tommy and I threw our bikes up the last bit and Antt did a Graham Jarvis style fender drag wheelie with dismount up it on his second attempt.
We were all getting a bit tired so we started to head back toward the cars. We did 117k's in total (we told Tommy he needed to do 200k's on his 200th ride). We had a beer and a chat and then headed home.

200 rides well done Tommy!

Thanks everyone for a great day.

Dave 2slow

Cheers to all the riders that turned up the Woky ride yesterday, it was always going to be a dusty one... but not so bad when you're out the front :)
Well done to Tommy on getting to his 200th ride, and they way his riding he will make it to 300 easily, especially now that's he has gone orange:)
We lost a few riders along the way, and while i didn't them see them there was a few offs as well. Did a section i hadn't been on for a long time and saw tracks leading off into the bush. So will have to head back and do a bit more investigating . Apart from being dusty it was certainly was skatey out there as well and the roos where pretty thick on one area.
Another goods days outing and thanks to Antt for sweeping and big thanks to Dave for doing up the ride report. We will have to get a picture for his profile next ride.
See out on the tracks
Dazza
