"Woky in Feb"
Dazz, put up a sunday ride early in the week and a few of us climbed on board. Myself, Tommy, Geordie Bazz, Stevektm, Martyn and Shaun, oh and Eddie rocked up too ( hehe suck shit Junior!!) We met at the Woky pub and were at Big tree ready about half seven. Dazz did a quick brief and off we went into the dust but away from the wedge tail eagle size march flys at the car park. Dusty but manageable, my anti roost tyre was working great. I was on my near new second hand exc 300, reliving my youth and giving it shit- a bit too much shit as I ran outta fuel, more on that later. So mainly single track nice ups and downs with a few tech tracks and hills thrown in. Dazz was doing regular regroups lucky for martyn... Mid morning it started getting hot and looking around I wasn't the only one feeling shagged. We stopped for a regroup just past a fine clear sweet looking creek- I wish I dumped my bumbag and helmet and had a wee bath. That's the close up of my ugly mug at said regroup, mental note, never go past water in feb!! Pretty much straight after that Martyn lead us up a hill designed to break spirits and kill average men. So that was the end of me! Lucky my bike was running so rich off the bottom I was nearly outta fuel any way, I might leave it 60km's - perfect wee ride! Sure enough 10 minutes later sees me scrounging fuel from Martyn via a hose, yum nothing like the taste of premium on a hot day- not! 5 minutes later we were back at the cars, Dazz, Martyn and myself went for another quick blat swapping bikes,, to pick holes in my new bike and confirm the jetting was indeed, umm fucked, and Shaun tagged along for shits an giggles. Back at the cars, I think we only did about 60 or 70km but I didn't log it, felt like 1060km, couple of drinks with a couple of hundred marchies and a few laughs and we were off by about noon. I get a call from Shaun he found bits of "henry" on the track- poor ole ute cops it hehe. Thanks Shaun. Well Woky in February.... even tho I was done in, I had a blast new bike is awesome- but will be even more awesomer when I sort the jetting. Can't wait for the winter, umm Pikey, where was he?? prob on the couch with the air con blowing on him! The dreaded sandy giney strikes again! Cheers Dazz for leading us around Shaun and Tommy for sweeping down the back in all the dust, and thanks Martyn for the fuel. Cheers catch ya'll when it rains
Hooters

Great day out today with Dazz and the boys, I'll punch out a report tomorrow when my hands stop shaking, only about 60km but pretty hot and dusty, but hey I haven't been kicked outta the crusty's- well so far!! I'm thinking maybe Junior brings out the worst in me!! New bike is good, jetting needs a bit of love, but it's a light weight weapon.
Hooters

Many thanks to DazzaM for leading, ktmshaun n Tommy for fulfilling sweep duties that meant a great ride out at Woky today. Once again DPaW or whatever they're called this week did a stirling effort on the fire roads to create as much dust as possible, effective use of your tax.
Hooters had a new toy to replace the 500, which he also let his friends play with to their delight (but mainly to pick holes in) and a couple of new riders in ktmsteve n Barry which made for a good start to the year.
A bit of water around the place would be nice but we go for a ride anyway.
Thanks all again.
Martyn

Great day out today. Cheers Dazza and all those that rode today.
Ktmshaun

Thanks for a great weekend on the bikes started of on Saturday with JNR (B2) and a good flowing big bike ride from Paddys bar then finished of down south with Dazza and the crew had a blast not leading and sucking in some dust cheers to everyone else who turned up even Hooters(B1) and his thirsty new toy
Tommy

Cheers boy's for coming out on the ride this morning and making the effort to jump in the cars early and make the drive down. It was a bigger than expected turn out considering that we all knew that it was going to be hot and dusty, but good to see that Crusty riders are still keen even though conditions aren't the best.
Good to meet up with new Crusty KtmSteve and Barry and KtmShaun who hasn't been out on the bike for awhile.
Hooters busted out a new toy, being a shiny 300 Ktm and obviously was enjoying the bike and giving it a good thrashing cause he ran out of fuel not too far from the cars. And i can report that he was very well behaved and caused no problems and the anti roost tyre that he was running worked a treat :-)
Cheers to KtmShaun and Tommy for sweep duties today and Hooters for ride report.
For those that are heading down to Bremer bay i will see you there, if not I'll see you out on the tracks & trails
Cheers
DazzaM
