6 Summer Time Diehards turned up at the Rock Inn for an Adventure ride to Lol Gray and back. The first noticeable thing was that Jnr showed up for this adventure ride earlier than expected and looking rested and like he had just finished a coffee. It was also noted that his rear knobby was in remarkable condition if it had indeed just done 50klm of bitumen to arrive at the start of this adventure ride. Now that Jnr was there the noise level increased quite a bit and so the nice lady who now lives at the Rock Inn came out and told us that we were on private property and should leave. So, the Rock Inn is now a house and is going to be fenced off in the future. Anyway, we moved across the road to keep her happy, but we are going to need a new parking spot from now on. Maybe the BP?
Tiger volunteered for sweep and we headed out on the usual tracks, had a quick break at Jinxys tree which is now almost bark less, then went to Boyagin Rock had another stop and sweated our asses off in the heat. Then onto LoL Gray which was a real treat to ride thru, unused flat tracks and weirdly skinny trees everywhere. Then we went to wandering for fuel and lunch in the tavern, one of the locals said it was 41 degrees and there was no reason to doubt him. I drank 4 litres of water, 1 pint of beer and 1 coke during the ride. The ride home was along some interesting tracks further south that included a couple of tracks that weren’t actually there anymore and so everyone had some log hopping practice. Anyway, we all made it back in one piece totally shagged and thirsty, I forgot to pack any beer and so JNR gets the ROTD nomination for being the main supplier of the much-needed beer for everyone.

[JNR]
Thanks for the ride yesterday MickKal well lead & to Tiger thanks again for bringing up the rear.
Was a big first ride back in the heat & dust but always good to ride with a great bunch & beats work any day, see you all out there again soon.

[Jacko]
thanks guys, was good to get there eventually, but the heat and dust i could do without. it started off quite cool but it felt like 40 degrees at wandering.

[Hazi]
Thanks for the ride Mick (and report) and tiger for sweeping. Certainly was hot and the thermo fan on the KTM was working hard. See ya on the next one.

[KTMike]
Many thanks for putting on a great ride Saturday MickKal, it was great to be back out there with a great bunch of die hards. The dust was all part of it, it certainly made the beers go down well. Many thanks to Hazi & JNR for sharing your beers at the end of the ride, I'll be sure to bring along extras for the needy next time. Cheers Tiger for sweeping all day, a great time had by all.
Cheers, KTMike.

[TigeR]
Thanks for leading a little loop of 344 kms yesterday MickKal.

We had a mixture of everything. Started off cool and then was hotter than hell in Wandering - but the beers were cold and tasted like nectar from the gods.

We visited Jinxy's tree - and thankfully nobody was Jinxy-ed on this ride.

Let's make this a comeback ride for Jinxy.

Good to get a day out on the bike in Feb...
