THE BOYS GET BOOTED UP FOR THE RIDE.

Orry called a ride and offered to lead us from Metro down to Nth Bannister and return. We all met up, unloaded the bikes and put on the boots.

Orry knows these trails like the back of his hand (with his glove off). It was a long and dusty 80 odd k's of goat trails before we finally hit Bannister for fuel and refreshments. Grant was nursing a sore shoulder after an off (SOTD award) and big John525 said he was completely stuffed. Orry offered to lead us back on some less demamding faster flowing trails which proved to be a blessing. Grant and John parted with the group on the return leg and opted for the gravel roads and an easier ride.

Orry's young fellow Dan did a great job on the TTR. Orry asked if he was holding up the pack. I said no, I think I was holding him up!!! Orry picked up ROTD for his job up front of the pack and unbelievable knowledge of the area. David looked like he had been kicked by a horse by the time we were back at the trailers and commented that he had really got his money worth out of this ride. He started off with sore ribs from his last stack and ended with a sore body form top to tail.

Pete rode sweep and had a couple of lttle offs himself. Apparently he doesn't know how hard Blackboys are and you should really try to miss them. Steve525 had no problems with the ride and I think could have gone and done it again. I saw him pushing hard a few times and making sure large pieces of rock were being thrown from his rear tyre. We might have to change his name to the Italian Stallion after his efforts today.

JOHN525 MAKES HARD WORK OF THIS HILL CLIMB.

DAVID MANAGED TO PULL UP THE HILL WITHOUT EFFORT.

COL FALLS INTO A HOLE AND REVERTS TO A BIT OF FANCY FOOT WORK.

AAAAAAhhhhh LUNCH AND A WELL DESERVED BREAK.JOHN IS WONDERING IF HE CAN GET BACK UP TO HIS FEET.

I recon we rode well over 100 K's of goat trails today and the final distance was equal to any standard Enduro event except we rode for a longer period due to the trails. This county is less forgiving in the dry and heat but once the rains come - It is Gods country.
