Powerline Report by Choko
While the old blokes set out to lanos for a beginners run, 5 regular diehards and 2 new faces rocked up for another crusty adventure. The conditions were perfect with alot of moisture on the ground to keep the dust down to nil. Having done it once before, i put my hand up for lead, and Beau for sweep. After a breif riders meeting we set off down the main straight and were pretty keen to make are way down to the creek. There was not realy any major dramas getting to the creek except one of the new guys(drift) had an off when a tree got the better of him.(he was fine). Once getting to the creek are excitement turned to dissapointment because the creek was to full of water to get a good straight run at her. We decided to give it a go but after getting stuck in the mud about 5 times, we decided the main road might be the go. We then made are way to the quarry were i thought the 2 new guys might like to have a play, after seeing it they decided to give it a miss but out came the italion stallion(Andrea) with no fear in his eyes he was straight down to the bottom, with the cameras out he made it look to easy and now joins the elite few who have coquered it.Well done andrea you get rider of the day for your no fear approach. After a quick break we were on the throttle again,we rode through whoopsville and then followed the fence line back to the single tracks that lead us back to the goat trails just before the creek.We took the detour off the main powerline track just for a little more fun before we head home. Beau had alittle too much fun and got carried away on the throttle which caused him too have a decent off. Well done Beau, as you admitted, youve got stack of the day. That was the last hiccup of the day, we all made are way back to the cars safely and with smiles on are faces.
