There were just a few clicks short of 100 k's knocked up on today's ride. 11 riders booted up for a 9 o'clock take off. Pounce was feeling a little sick and at first was hesitant at leading the ride. A bit of gentle persuasion at the riders meeting and he agreed to take us on a few hours of one of the best partly unknown rides so far. I know everyone has heard it before but a good leader rider makes for a good ride. That will be another ROTD award under your belt big fellow.

Pete rode at the back making sure everyone was still upright. The trails were particularly slippery today and there were a few offs. On one bend I came across Rob and Tommy both picking up their bikes at the same time. Not long before that Rob dropped into a water rut, the bike slid sideways to a halt and CRFMick nearly T/boned him. Pete nominated CRFMIchael for the prestigious SOTD award after he downed his bike and slid a considerable distance on his arse. Good onya Mick, the extra point is yours.

A break at a hill climb proved to be a little harder for some than it looked. No one made the climb in one go and no one got over the hill except for Andrea who looked like he was trying to turn his clutch plates into porridge. John525, Wazza, Col Mac, Mick and Tommy also gave it a go. (EDIT: Mick450 made it to the top in one go, first try before anyone else tried.)
The rest of the day was a mixture of rocky challenges, sandy trails, slippery mud, hill climbs and a couple of half decent nearly tank height water crossings. The rain came down lightly for the first hour or so making my goggles at least hard to see through and I did hear a few others comment on a problem with visibility.

A good day's ride with a decent bunch of blokes. Well done CQer's.

WHAT A GOOD LOOKING BUNCH OF RIDERS!!!!!
