2008 Christmas party at Andrea's.

Report by Col.

As the year rolled to an end, I started asking the boys what we should do this year to celebrate Christmas. Without hesitation, Andrea again volunteered his lovely home to host the 2008 festivities and to bid farewell to the Crustys for a year or two while the family returns to Italy.

Most of the regulars turned out with their partners and a handful of kids to enjoy the drinks, good food and laffs. Andrea fired up the back yard pizza oven and with the help of his wife churned out a truck load of hot gourmet pizzas quicker than the McCain's factory in Malaga. David's wife also provided a tub of tasty caramelised sausage and bacon treats that everyone raved about. Sweets weren't bad either were a choice of three yummy cakes and of course Andrea pumped out a couple of litres of his special coffee with one of those real coffee machines.

As usual, Roley went to a big effort and provided the entertainment with his annual CQ award presentation. He provided some great statistics on all sorts of data collected through the site and it really brought to light that I "do need a life". How many post have I had on that message board? Most of the awards provided us all with a big laff. One in particular turned Col Mac a light shade of red however I thought the winner this year was Mick450's enduro man award. Mick and Michael love a bike ride. The harder the better, the longer the bigger the smile. That's what trail riding is all about boys so well done Mick.

The rest of the evening was spent with boys talking bikes and woman talking about !!!!! - who cares, as long as they let us talk bikes. Howard and Haydn had a drinking competition and although Haydn probably slipped an extra one or two in I think they were both equally wasted. The trip home in the car with these guys was entertainment enough.

Also a big thanks to the fake Foxtel man. All this time ribbing me about not having Foxtel, he receives the big Foxtel award and then I find out he is not even connected!!!! Adrian (aka Foxtel) supplied some great door prizes for the night.

Thanks again to Andrea and the family for a wonderful night. On behalf of all the Crustys we wish you all the best for your move back to the home country and can't wait to see you return. We will miss you Wog Boy.

Merry Christmas to everyone.
