Darins dustbusters
Report by Darin.
I called my first ride during the dry time of the year, and honestly didn't expect many, if any riders to pitch. I was amazed to have thirteen bikes riding - thank you all. Stack of the day was not awarded, and I think a few riders breathed a sigh of relief. Steve ended up with a limp - hope you are ok today. Pete had a skirmish with a log and then decided to pick on the native wild life. Andrew had a moment when Mick and Pete decended on him at pace. Roley was also wearing a few roasties. I had a small high side but was up and on my way before anyone noticed. And Carlo - where do we start? I think him and his WR are trying to plough their way to Italy, but he did invent the flat-out front wheel wheelie. The new rider Ross, rode a steady ride and seemed comfortable with the pace. From Metro road the first few kms had a few whoops which no one enjoyed (except Carlo, who says "the more whoops, the better") when we had lunch at N/Bannister and I mentioned we were riding the same route back, we immediately had a few groans about the whoops, but all in all I think it was a good days riding, with lots of laugh's, and a few coldies went down an absolute treat at the end.
