Rider of the day Jacko
Stack of the day Not awarded
Jacko called a ride as the footy grand finals were interfering with his trail time. He posted that he would follow the top end of Mick450s last ride.

The temperature was perfect low twenties and overcast. The tracks looked loamy and Jacko had his GPS and a path to follow. Eddie came kitted up and ready for a ride after a long absence which he preferred not to discuss.

Jacko lead with Eddie on his borrowed DRZ in the middle with FT Allen taking care of sweep.

Its mighty dry in them there hills, the lack of traction slowed the pace when you wanted speed and quickened the pace when you tried to stop. I noticed Jacko was so far ahead of me that he had a little lay down but quickly got back up when I came around the corner.

Its mighty slippery in them there hills.

There is only two ways of riding a loop. Clockwise and anticlockwise. After riding into a tight canyon and fighting our way out Jacko decided that we has gone the wrong way around the loop and should turn back and do the canyon again. Which we did successfully.

I could tell that Mick450 had something to do with the loop as you would travel down a perfectly good trail and just turn left..no track.just turn left. Jacko assured Eddie and me that this was the way Mick had gone and we blindly followed.

A regroup was made at the start of the hill-climb part of the loop. Jacko explained that he had made it to the top of all of the climbs and off we went blindly following Jackos Nomad long range tank which bobs around in a mesmerizing manner.

The group caught up with Michael on a very clean Husaberg. Jacko gave him the chat about riding by himself and I think we will see him on future rides.
After 95 ks of outstanding trails we returned to the cars to share a cold one.
This is an excellent loop and all three of us noted in out diaries to do it again soon.
Jacko leads with confidence and Eddie always seems to be in the right place at the right time.
The best way to spend a footy grand final day (If your team is not playing)
