Dora the Explorer
Five of us met up for an Exploration ride to try and link a few new tracks together a nice number as we would be stopping often and possibly doing a bit of back tracking. As we were about to start Mike decided that he would bring his helmet cam so we had to wait for him a decision we all thought would haunt us as any footage he would post would probably be of one of us having a stack.
The first tracks we have ridden before and are a good start to warm up on then we found some sandy tracks just to make FT Allen feel at home. Then on to the new area we only had to back track once as we didnt want to go bush. Most of these tracks are old and overgrown with trees across them just when you think you can go for it there is a log to go around or over (you will have to see Mikes video - new stuntman required HA HA). These tracks linked up nicely with the other tracks that we were heading for and we had a blast around them for a while until we realized that we had done around 70ks so we decided to head back via another route and some more new trails. We had a few offs and found new trails, had a laugh no injuries or break downs. So all in all a good day out in the bush. Thanks to Ross for sweeping and Mike Allen and Steve for the company.
