Lost Boys
Six riders today including new guy Jonesey450 on a KTM. Easty had traded us the night before in favour of beer and chicks. A very gentlemanly start time of 10.30, Nathan led us off for a run to Wedge. Steve volunteered to sweep.
Jason survives a hit and run with a local skippy early on and emu’s appear in the wrong spot more than once. Some good tracks get us to the dunes near wedge and a bit of fun is had here before a rest at the settlement. The ranger agrees we’re all top blokes and a quick blast up the beach before we head for home. The route home throws up a few challenges not helped with a lot of access now fenced. A bit of back track is required and fuel is now a problem for many. John saves the day with the biggest safari tank I’ve seen. A top day of riding, very little dust, great weather and some entertaining diversions. A few minor offs but only skip qualifies for a point.
