50 cent rap-ride
Slade shows up at OVT looking for Nathan after he has abandoned his KTM; he is inside the bar listening to some 50 cent rap music on the juke box and drinking a diet coke. "Enough frivolities, lets ride!"
We head out the backdoor exit heading towards the Limestone quarries. After 10 minutes or so Nathan relises he is leading no one. He stops the bike, takes off his helmet and listens for the 4-strokes echoing off the pines.After about 10 minutes he finds the other guys chilling out waiting for him on a sandy corner, "Ok boys let hit the quarry and try not to lose each other" We arrive at the quarry and Nathan refuses to climb it as he has left his gloves at home! " No way boys, the 2-stroke does not like that hill anyway" Fudge has his groove on, doing jumps! OMG, old MX skills never really go away, they just get stored for when your kids grow up and leave the house! At this point our main priority is to get back to the bar by 3pm. Fudge shouts us all a drink at the Yanchep servo and we are off to enjoy some great ridge-riding and some superb single track. The single track was raved about, really tight swichbacks, mainly second gear stuff and all under the tree canopy! The boys pack up there bikes faster than they ever have; the show starts at in 10 minutes! They are greeted by Cass who has reserved a nice table and a round of Pure Blonde! What a legend; the guys has a scar down the back of his head the size of a large zipper! ROTD for that my man. See you guys next week! |
