When we arrived at the park up spot it was still raining slightly which made us all smile and think that it wouldn’t be dusty, but the weather gods worked against us and as we headed south towards Nth Bannister it got dusty and it didn’t look like the rain had made it down that way.
Due to the lack of rain the tracks were slippery and the pea gravel was doing its best to make you think that you had flat tyres. I know that one stage I stopped to check my back tyre.
Andrew did a great job of leading us in the general direction whilst finding some good loops to ensure we didn’t get bored with the gravel road sections. We had a few detours and back tracks along the way but this just adds to the fun and is part of the reason you go riding . We made it to Nth Bannister and refuelled the bikes and the bodies had a break and prepared ourselves for the return trip we headed back to the cars via some different tracks and loops with some good flowing single track to keep us on our toes.
A couple of us had small get offs but we all made it back to the cars safe and sound overall a great days riding.
Thanks to Andrew for leading and also thanks to Jacko for sweeping and putting up with the dust
