Rothy inaugural no gps required ride
one regular two diehards two legends turn up 8,30 am Nth Bannister ride , Rock up Poune Tommy Dan in car pk gravel patch waiting , heaps of rain overnight and rain as we are booting up , Short riders brief all good , Skullman ridden out here the day before , he sets us off into the right direction , couple k's in Dan's front fender bags comes off , all good going again , feeling the pressure of leading my 1st ride trying to nail it and impress , Bars hit two trees tight sec small slow off , time for Pounce to get camera out and have a laugh , good lesson after that , i ride at my own pace , all good heaps of water and whoops so many whoops ! Forgot Skullmans luv's whoops sure I heard him laughing 3 bike lengths back , all good get the heart rate up and the blood pumping , 20ks in , regroup drink and a wipe of the goggles , lite drizzle ( Riders Heven ) heaps more whoops single tight track plenty of puddles opening up too 3rd 4th gear sand mud double tracks , plenty of water find a couple small hill climbs easy goin , no major off's Brillant stuff 2nd regroup , drink Skullman breaks out the snakes he stolen off his grandson , everyone good , off again find a fence line track double track 4th 5th full noise stuff Brillant !! , tracks are like creeks with running water from all the rain , all having fun and a good laugh filling ea another in with think black mud and water every chance we get , I got anyway , get told a couple of times am a prick to follow , Dam cluch kept slipping :))) , 80 ks into ride Pounce lose's his back brakes , Tools out Dan's young eyes handy for see the site glass , 10 mins trying getting it bleed no luck , decide to head off to Bannister rd house get some brake fuild , try again bleeding them , no luck Pounce decides to head back to cars by the bitumen , wise choice , slippery tracks dynamic with no back brakes , we start back tracking , fast flowing wet wet like small river beds by now from all the rain i get lost again Skullman Tommy get me heading the right way again , think couple small offs behind me nothing bad , Small regroup decide to head back to the cars more whoops ! we get close to the cars and with the help from Tommys GPS we get back all in one piece 1,30pm 110ks , I was total stuffed couple of beers back at the cars in the rain , great day , Big thanks to Skullman Pounce Tommy for all your help finding my way , and Tommy for Sweeping , and new guy Dan nice to meet ya and for coming along
