saturdays ride report.
another good call from pounce and starting from a pub is always very conveniant.we headed off down some powerline track for a while and straight into the single trail. im riding my brand new 250 two stroke ktm so just going steady running in the motor and getting used to the two stroke i was expecting to get sprayed with mud at every oppertunity but there was not all that many puddles, quite a bit of dust though.i didnt see too much carnage except for my own and bunga i think getting stuck in a giant mud hole. my first off, i was seeing how fast i could get around a bend over a hill to find a pine tree laying across the track. i grabbed a handfull of brakes like i would with the drz and hit the deck within seconds.no harm done just extract the bike from the log and get going again.later on we came to a rocky hill climb with a nasty section half way up. someone was stuck on it so i went to the side and stalled it on the rocky bit, fell off, had a roll on the ground and then picked up the bike to find a hole punched through the clutch cover.spewin. a bit of abro steel and ten minutes and we were back into it.
not far to go now and i get put on a corner for a long wait. eventually pounce comes back in search of the problem.it turns out to be ross going for the world record for flat tyres. soon after we were back at the pub and mike runs in and orders ten steakburgers before the kitchen closes. a few coldies and a feed, a great way to end a fun days riding.thanks guys.
not sure if the bike is running properly, it stutters a lot down low and then goes like a rocket and then stutters again as the speed levels out. i think it might be running too rich so ill suss it out with the ktm mob.
