Day in the Dust 2.0
Jason forgot to post he was coming (and write the report he promised LOL) so here’s something short to record the ride. Inver took us a new way north avoiding those woops we all love. We do the black tight stuff and ridge top run before an early lunch at the servo. The trails are pretty dry and dusty and there’s certainly a strong hint that summer is not too far away.
It’s been a long time since Damo’s last crusty ride – he blames it on the arrival of new family members but we all notice the twitch when the “Wrex Wrecked Em” ride is mentioned. Today’s ride is a walk in the park by comparison. Heading east we tackle a mix of (lovely) single trail and (not so lovely) boggy power line trails and hoon around in a quarry for a bit. Inver has forgotten the premix and is limited to the tank full he started with and concerns about emptiness are growing. Time to head OVT way and before long a cold beer is being enjoyed by all. |
