A Few Good Men And Women!
Spike called a Lakes ride and a team of 4 set off at 830. Let's call it an adventure as none of us had any real knowledge of the area but between us we put bits of tracks together and with our fearless leader Gareth out the front we had a nice casual ride with a few challenges along the way. The weather was perfect with good cloud cover and nice wet soil to keep the dust down. The highlight of the ride was Gareth's bath. Riding a borrowed 2 banger from his mate and not being used to it he stopped between two wheel ruts lost his balance but managed to save the bike but not himself, down he went like the Titanic, straight to the bottom. Very funny for those that saw it hey Spike.
All up about 70 kms of easy riding with Gareth awarded SOTD. Good to see Nigel back out there again in the saddle and good on you Spike for calling the ride. About time you called a few more of your girlfriends out on the Crusty rides. Cheers. Bunga.   |
