Spikes Call
lakes ride report sat 04/07/15 "who needs a gun when you're that good with a knife!!!" Hooters, Spike, braushy737, Mexican craig 300, Bunga, Mickal, Gavin, JB, Fudge
After a bit of to and fro, 9 off us met up at the lakes roadhouse for a ride called by Spike. We had a pre ride meeting and Mickal said he was happy to lead on the trusty 'free ride' and we were going to share the sweep duties. Game on! Drama early as craig got tangled up with someone and went down hard within a km from the cars. He dusted himself off tho and carried on. Mick lead us thru some awesome new trails, punting the little 250 along way faster than it should! We were all having a ball but JB went down pretty hard and bailed about half way and Fudge called it a day too and they both took a direct route via the roads to the cars. We were back on the usual lakes tracks by now with Mick still leading and we meandered back toward the cars. A great well lead ride with some beautiful tracks and we ended up doing about 90km all up. ROTD would have to go to Mickal, for leading a great ride. Who brings a knife to a gunfight?? someone who's that good with a knife he doesn't need a gun, that's who!!! ps it was day one of me and Bunga's 2 day enduro!!  |
