Roos can Jump..
Capel ride 13/12/2015 Roos can Jump...
Riders DazzaM, Marytn, SHotter We meet at usual parking spot at Capel and was wondering if the little bit of rain we had in the morning was going to help keep the dust down...it didn’t. We were on the bikes by 8:15am and started riding the normal tracks which I thought might of had a few spiders strung across them, especially this time of the year, but it was pretty good...not too many at all. All was going well when we stopped and I told the guys to take it easy down this track as there are always a few roos around, only to get half way down the track when out of the corner of my eye I see a roo heading straight for me. I was getting ready to brace for the impact when he jumped right over my head. I was on the brakes and pulled up and by that stage Marytn was right there and I said, “Did you see that?” “Should have had a GoPro on”, Martyn said as the roo cleared my head by another foot. Would have been one for YouTube, I was just glad that it didn’t knocked me off my bike. After that bit of excitement we headed on our way, through the track where we came across a section of bush where we decided to go bush bashing and make our way through to the power line track. After that it was riding some tracks I haven’t done for awhile and with just the three of us, pace was steady. We did come across a rather large log that we had some fun having shots getting over. Putting into practice what we were taught after going to Chris Birch riding school. After mucking around for a little while on the log jumping we headed back to the cars. In all it was another fun ride with no one getting hurt or falling off. Thanks to Marytn and Steve for coming along. I will try and add some video footage that we took on the iPhone.
