100 odd k's of Nannup
Ride Report: 100 odd k's of Nannup.
Players: DazzaM, Kyron, KtmShaun, Martyn, Twoody. Conditions looked fine, trails were mint, riders keen so we did a reverse of the usual run just to mix it up. Didn't have to do that big arse hill straight up so it was into the flowing single trails with chilly hands and bodies getting warmed up quickly. We were about 10 minutes into the ride when I had the first of my 7 offs for the day, a record - wtf !, the trails were grippy with heaps of traction until a mid morning shower had us hiding in the pines until it cleared. Dazza set up a good pace with hills galore where we all had 'moments' on slippery diagonal sticks, logs, roots, rocks etc. We came across a couple of other groups of riders having fun. luckily meeting them in the right spots so no scares. Now for that BA hill, KtmShaun took it on and nailed it three times, although he had a few attempts. Martyn made it halfway up and launched into the fence just to see if it really was an electric fence - it was. Dazza had a couple of trys and made it to the top, Kyron put in an effort and made it halfway and I just sat back and enjoyed the show. Great day, great ride. Thanks guys. Twoody |
