ride report "sunshine on a cloudy day" Tommy, Husky Mike, Andy 400, Hooters, orange Bobbie, & Inver.
Tommy called a ride for the northern hills and 6 of us jumped on board. A very casual 8:30am start from the park up spot. I checked the weather and was expecting rain, but the bike gods looked after us and the weather was perfect, the rain hit when we were all driving home- perfect. So we booted up headed off with Tommy leading and Mike warming up in the sweep pozzy. Great trails a crisp clear morning with just a touch of dust in the pea gravel but plenty of moisture around. Andy pulled the pin pretty early but had an easy trip back to the cars along a dirt Road. It was about this point the universe shifted and orange Bobby ( renamed "pink" bobbie ) started riding like a girl (sorry Stacey hehe!) and Mike started riding like a pensioner on Meth. Soooo, a swap around was the order of the day, Rob sweeping and Mike in charge of mid pack carnage. Tommy lead us around some wicked trails a few in the opposite direction than normal and some fresh ones as we did a bit of exploring. We missed the usual hill climb section but I don't think anyone cared. A great day no dramas or injurys, a bit of water fun ( a very near bike drowning but I got out- very lucky!) a few small offs but nothing big and back at the cars at noon. All in all a great Saturday morning. Cheers Tommy the sweeps and everyone for the ride,
Cheers Hooters

'Sunshine on a cloudy day'.
Had a great ride on Saturday guys.
Thanks Tommy for putting together the ride.
A case of trust the GPS and it worked.
Tight tracks ,lots of coffee rock to sort out the rims.Plenty of water for Hooters to play in (risky move but the orange submarine got through).I know of one little black duck who wouldn't have gone waste deep to push you out.

Thanks for taking over sweeping Rob, I did feel like having a spurt that day
