Our CQ journalist TigeR/Tadhg (or was it Pretz) has been at it again with an article in the April/May Trailrider mag titled "Ride on partner". Its about last year's WCS partners' ride. Another witty expose about dirt biking! I particularly liked the comment in the rider's profile for Tadhg "...an experienced gumby, all the gear and no idea..." LOL
A good read while sitting on the throne! But I was disappointed there was no mention of the Crusties - either some-one is embarrassed to be known as a CQer or we need to stay a secret in the National media?
Where will TigeR strike next - could it be on the June WCS Ride of the year?

Jacko,See you tomorrow(with my flash new helmet which doesn't need duct tape).

Now if you could only chase a camel as fast as you can chase a sheep you might be in with half a chance. Good luck mate and keep that slick looking paint job in one piece.
Yes Jaybo with all that blatant advertising there must be at least a photo of the beast! Good luck mate and have a awesome time!
DRZAllan, sorry but there's already an Allan.
Pick another name & I'll see what I can do.
Todd, I haven't forgotten, yours will be changed aswell soon.
Jaybo, advertising works better with pictures.

Greetings from Dubai. I'm over here for the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge that starts next weekend. Went for an 80 km dune ride today with some locals and it was tough! Amazing riding though. Herds of camels wondering around, and endless dunes as far as you can see even from the very top of the tallest one. Very different to anything I've ridden before in Oz or NZ.
The entry list is out and I'm number 19. I need to say a special thank you to Kevin at Ashfield Smash, a Crusty Quinn that has helped me in getting here with a beautifully prepared bike. Thanks mate! The awesome paintwork on the fairing gets plenty of looks.
I need to say a thanks to the guys at Causeway KTM for their help too. They have done a lot to help me out. If you're ever in their neighbourhood with a need for something and talk to them, let them know you you're there because I told you to go there and it'll help them see a return for their support. (Same goes for any automotive panel and paint work you need - give Kevin a buzz at Ashfield Smash in Bayswater and let him know).
While I'm on a roll, all the above goes for Tyres For Bikes in Vic Park. Thanks Peter for your support with the Michelin Desert Tyres and Rallye Mousses.
Thanks for your indulgence in this little ad break. Now, back to the movie. :-)
Cheers
JayBo

Gday cqrs, Yes it has been awhile but time goes so fast when you keep yourself busy, ive still got the red devil locked away in the shed, she is definately due for a thrash. I will be joining you all again very soon, cyas then.
Carlo Carlo with a comment like that you get the second "Tool of the Week" Award! LOL!
Carlo - Please don't scare me. If you had a DRZ I would say no issue and you could propably change the oil at 50 000 k's LOL. I hope you are changing the oil at least every 500 k's and a filter of course. Make sure it's good qualilty oil as we expect a lot out of these little engines turning over in excess of 10 000 revs.
Guys - Looking for another quad to get around on - farm style for family use only. Late model 4 x 4 around the 350 cc range. Anyone know of a half decent second hand one sitting around.
Oil, what oil do I need to change, Colin?
The engine oil is at 10,000km right?

Carlo - I hope this is not the bikes first service!!!! If you have been changing your own oil, filters and checking the bike over in general there is not too much else to do unless something is broken, worn or leaking. Would be a good time to check your valve clearance - and this is not too hard to do either. If they need adjustment then book it in the shops.

I'm in for micks 2 day ride, DRZALLEN I'm in to share a room if it's still spare. I'll be leaving my car and trailer there and have room for 2 other bikes if anyone needs. Does anyone have a car heading up that could take a spare bag with a change of clothes.
Paid my deposit for the WC Tour
That tool of the day award Choko - you look like Vince from American Chopper
have to bail on micks 2 day local ride so there is room a available at pub. enjoy the ride
Mick - I have had thoughts of a two day ride from Perth to Gero - A mere 400 K's + a day. If you sorted the the ride from the OVT up to Lano - we know the way from Lano to Jurien and I don't think it is too hard up to Green Head and beyond. Probably just need a bit of local help up this way for this last leg into Gero. Is this a bit too far in distance!!!!!!
