hey dave, sounds like you had good ride. next one for me will be pony express katanning 20th july. hope to see some crustys should be wicked event very relaxed and low key last one even had lunch break!! re your shock for my money steve mouritz is the man. he has revalved and respung both my ktm and my cr and did a really sweet job.
p.s info on wa quad mx, forum, enduro-pony express. two p.rider/bike team unless your an iron man- chocko??

yeah sorry about the early exit guys, my elbows couldnt take it anymore. Had to get back to reality and organise some work stuff,still did 3 loops though!

Choko - what happened you weren't there when we got back. Don't tell me the baboons convinced you two laps was enough.
Pounce - there were several big ponds out there I had to concentrate everytime I went by them.
Bike's going great, but I need my shock rebuilt (nothing to do with going swimming). Anybody got any suggestions?

great day/night enduro, awsome trails and it was also nice to officially meet Jaybo. The night was cold and the morning frosty but would i do it again....DEFINETLY!!!

The ride was mint. The weather was even better. Yes it did get cold towards the early hours of the morning but totally worth it. Well done to the Crusty's who rode.

Excellent event at Quindanning both the Night & Day. Yes there was ice on the bike seats this morning! and was it cold last night? Yes!

I've been in contact with Tom Foster from Trailbike Adventure Magazine and he is keen to use some of my footage from the helmetcam on one of the magazines DVDs.
If anyone else has some "incidents" on film, I'm sure he would be happy to look at them and assess whether he could use them too.

19 years in Perth and this is the first proper frost I've seen here.
Pity those poor fools down in Quindanning and their frozen bike seats.

Some info please, to ride at Metro Road do you need to have a licenced bike and a licence? Quite keen to take my teenage sons to try something different, getting tired of the Gnangara and Pinjar offroad areas!

Choko - Unless you stipulate a partner when you nominate you will be given a take off time with two other riders "not of your choice". Three riders take of at one minute intervals. It doesn't really matter because you tend to ride your own race anyway. Make sure you have a good chat to someone before the day ride so you not exactly what you need to do.

Because riding dirt bikes is not dangerous enough in the day light we get to ride at night as well. Come on the night enduro.
Don't forget a helmet light as well if you have one. Who is riding in what class?

Pounce, i can see where you are going with this, but luckily KTM equip their machines to such a high level, i just use the built in flux capacitor to get me up to speed in the first place!!

Dr Pounce I think you have something there about mass & velocity! Yes like the new intro photo - looks like a WCS water crossing.

Col Mc, the laws of physics dictate that a large mass travelling at a certain velocity will have the momentum to keep going at a faster rate than something with less mass.

Fraid not Kev, i have to blame it on an after market "bling" billet fuel cap and breather, which is today working fine, but choose lots of bad moments to play up on Saturday.
That including one high speed moment, over taking Col B on the back wheel, in the whoops. But the KTM still spanked the Yamahaha's even with no fuel!!

But take a quick flick onto ebay and see how many parts, both OEM and after market there are available for the KTM's, as opposed to the Honda and you can see another advantage to owning one. Not trying to influence you, just saying you need to consider the long term running of the chosen stead. KTM do make it very very easy to own one.
