Should Kung Foo Carlo really be going on this ride! LOL
lol I've seen the results of Mick450 tours Tommy:) Goat & I will be waiting at the Hotel to see results of Day 1 with a camera:)..
Mick450 Tours are not a beginner’s ride, so off-road riding experience
is essential.
As this tour is an "Adventure Tour" he would like everyone to consider their fitness levels and riding ability before participating. All riders will need to sign an Indemnity Form before the tour and are
responsible for their own accident and ambulance insurance.
LOL they might be hard but they are always lots of fun just ask anyone that was there last week.

Thanks H - I'll give you a call, I have been called "a right tool" more than once - does that count?
Choko - I've got Roley's address if you need it :-)
Roley, that is too funny, where is Choko and his mighty Honda? we haven't seen or heard from him in a while.
Booked my room for Mick's ride, haven't quite worked out the logistics of getting to and from the OVT and vehicles etc. but will sort it out.
Speaking of Tools! This could be a new Award "Tool of the Week" and my nomination goes to .........! LOL
Very funny Pounce – LOL .................... BTW I’ve still not rode the mighty DRZ yet.....
Don’t worry TigeR the 250F Radiators are pritty tough. The secrete to fixing them is to first get the right tools, start off with a few ice cold beers, then get more beers when they have run out. Next thing is to tease the radiator back to shape; calling it a few choice names also seems to help..............(The old Uri Geller trick also works a treat). TigeR, give me a call if you need a hand straightening them out, don’t forget the right tools though.

2 day ride on Saturday 8th May, staying in a hotel approximately 1½ hours from Perth CBD.
This ride your partner (if you have one) is welcome to come and meet at the hotel for dinner and stay the night.
Come with your wife or team up with a buddy.
You book your own room.
Email me for the details if you are intersted.
There are limited rooms at the hotel.
Sweep & Story teller required again.
Thanks for all the feedback on the radiator.
I'll go with the pressure test and potential fix first, so the existing guards will still fit and take it from there.
Carlo - with my mechanical skill a "cheap home" fix would end up with an engine blow up due to no cooling.
Pounce - I've seen what H can do to a 250F :-)
It's taken a couple of day's to recover but cheers everyone for a great ride particularly for the help on a couple of those climbs and getting the bike started, much appreciated. It was my third Crusty run and one I won't forget. Now I know what Mick means by bring extra fuel and money.
Tiger, in my few years of SOTD I have straightem the radiator lots of time by myself and maybe I'm lucky but it's still there and is good.
XR Chriss, hope to see you next time.
Tiger
I have heard NAT Rad in Armadale can fix bike radiators.
XR Chris keep you eye out for someone calling a ride in the hills there not as demanding as riding in the sand.
Deposit for WCS paid
Tige, another option is to lend your bike to H, let him think he bent it & you get it back straight!
TigeR, My experience is that radiators do get bent, without causing any damage but they often crack when you try to straighten them.
I would pressure test it under water, if it is not leaking, leave it as it is, possibly try and bend the mounting bracket or change the hole so that your plastics fit ok. I doubt it will ever give you a problem.
Or if it is going to worry you, buy a new one.
I've paid my deposit for the WCS. Steve
Now I know that they will never comeback, and I'm
angst-ridden too. :-)
But it can only be easier next time. (Hopefully!) LOL
Chris
Good to see you at least on the bike Col Mc.
Nice report Allen.
Hopefully Chris you'll disprove the theory "Any first time CQer that joins a Mick450 ride doesn't come back" :)
Mick - here's the link for the Enduro Saddlebags...

Any advice on my bent radiator ...
1. Worth getting it repaired (it's bent not leaking), where to go?
2. Where to source an aftermarket one?
OR
3. Don't fall off again
Guys, it was good to see you all on Saturday. Being used to riding so much, i am missing all you horrible ugly sods and the CQ banter. So as the bike has not moved for @9-10 weeks, it was time to give her a whirl round the block. The worrying thing is i reckon i am still a fair way from being ready to go riding. And the thought of a Mick450 special sandy ride makes my stomach go queer!!
Great report Allen thanks
Darin, thanks for the vote of confidence. I appreciate it.
Tommy, 12kms of kicking a 650 rates a point in my books.
