JayBo - I have set the program up so that after every message you post, it deletes itself automatically. LOL
I was simply making an observation!!! You have also bothered attending social functions, you contrubute to CQ in a positive way and push the T @ E club which I feel is a great extension of a social trail bike club.
Who cares anyway - It pushes up the stats He he he!!!
Have a good ride tomorrow chaps, wish I was coming. Don't let Col Mac ride to hard as we are going out tomorrow night and you know how grumpy he can get if he is pushed!!!
Wazza - As Roley said - There will be a heap of us camping out down there. Come and join us, share the camp fire and ride with the mob.
Reminder number one - Don't forget to throw a bag of wood in the trailer guys for Capel.

Yeh Col. Go on ... just delete me. I only get to catch up with CQ'ers at T&E events and never submit a ride report (well, beyond a short paragraph anyway) so strip me of my points and leave me quaking with my 2 or so points to slowly disolve from the board. I don't need you to have fun. :-) LOL (All said in jest - before someone does his/her nana!)
(I always did say it is silly to accumulate points for attending an event not "hosted" by CQ).
8 days to go to the Safari - then I get all the riding I could want ... and more!

Wazza at Capel just look out for the Crusty Quinns rear window sickers - there will be a mob of camping overnight. Mind you be careful where you put your tent a few Crusties have been known to sore! LOL

Thanks for the response Colin and Tiger, I'll be looking for the first ride posted after Capel. If anyone is attending the Capel ride I happy to pass on my number so I can introduce myself and possibly ride the trails with them as I'm quite sure I'll be attending by myself.

Industrious couple of days.
Trailer is now rewired and registered. Lined up at Welshpool Centre yesterday, waited an hour & was next in line when the manager came out and said to go home as they were shutting the place because of a chemical spill. BASTARDS! Went to Oconner and no one was there, got it passed in 1/2 an hour.
Spent today replacing rear indicators and headlight.
Got a Polisport. Looks good but I need a candle to see if it's on using low beam. High beam is OKish.

Wazza - I agree with Tiger, the Adventure Rally is pretty good and a great intro into the season but the last couple Capels have been outstanding. I hope the break mends well.
Kev - Do you resemble that comment!!!!!!

I'm in for the Sat ride.
Wazza - just look out for a ride called and post up that you'll be there and turn up. Capel is like the Adv Rally - only better. See http://www.rtra.asn.au/Capel/index.htm for details.

Hi all, I have been reading the message board for the past 14 weeks while I recover from a fractured vertebrae and am hoping to get back on the bike at the Capel Trail Ride.Is there any chance of hooking up with the CQ's that are going so I can be initiated into the group.I ride a KTM 530 EXCR and have all the appropiate equipment. I have ridden the T and E's Adventure rally several times and assume the Capel ride will be of a similar format. Thanks Warren (Newby)

With the added desription of the ride alond side the date on the participation (Your Intro Page) - it is interesting to check out how many real CQ rides some riders go on and how many T & E events they attend and pick up a point!!!!
Maybe that needs looking at!!! Can you come on one CQ ride and for the rest of your life pick up a point at every enduro for the rest of your life? I suppose you can the way it is at the moment. Maybe you need to have had an official CQ ride over a preset period before your attendance at a T & E event automatically gives you a point.
I just did a quick count of mine and it appears I have been on approx 45 rides/drives out of Lano that include night, 4 x 4 day trips, weekend camping, Cervates, Wedge, Cataby, Jurien, time trial and a heap that were not posted and reported on. I think I need to get a life.

Mick450
I have access to a compound in Merriwa Safe and secure just off Hester avenue. Will take 15-20 cars. 5km to OVT tavern.
No problems for the more road orientated machinery but you will need to do a couple of kms through suburbia.

sounds too good to miss, Hmmm what to do?...
|
 |
Fair enough Mick, just trying to figure out what stead to bring. I am happy enough to leave the whoops out of it, or too much boggy sand.
So shall we make it official, Micks mystery tour! What time do you wanna kick off? As its from the OVT and a long ride, we don;t we kick off at 8am and try and get back for early arvo?
|
| colin Tue, Aug 12 2008 07:22 | Crusty to the core (151 rides) | | |
 |
There use to be a big area at the back of the OVT where you could park. We (22 of us) parked up there for a CQ classic once and then back for a burger and a beer afterwards. I called the chef and he even did a burger/beer combo for $10.00 for us.

JC.

Col Mac:
Yep its got everything. From the Coast to the Hills(Might call it that).
About 30kms bitumen
Try to keep out of the whoooops depends where we start from.
Stop at servos longest stretch about 100kms, some might have to take fuel for this part but its between fuel points.
Need somewhere to park cars do people mind leaving there car at Barbagalo for the day or near the servos on Wanneroo rd Nerabup I would say meet at OVT but if we get 10 cars left in there car park all day they might get a bit upset.
Open for sugestions????
|
 |
Mick, i am keen, if you boys know where you are going. Are the 2 stops regular servos, or you thinking of fuel dumps? What sort of going is it, tight, open, sandy whoops, goat trail etc etc?
I assume its one big loop and back to the start point?
|
| mick450 Mon, Aug 11 2008 21:22 | Diehard (15 rides) | | |

Col Mac:
Yes thinking of posting big ride on Saturday, Got one sort of planned of 200-250kms with 2 fuel stops.
Just need somewhere for parking cars around Quinns,OVT area(any one got any ideas).
