Lancelin Car Park.
|
The run is from Lancelin dunes car park to Wedge (39 kms), along the beach (7
kms) and then into a track to Cervantes (32 km – 11 km of bitumen) and then
return.
Well another day in paradise as the boys set up at Lancelin for the run thru to
Wedge and to Cervantes and return...160 kms of great tracks and some beach.
|
On the way from Cervantes to Wedge Island a Kangaroo crashed into Howard sending
him and his bike to the deck. Howard with a slightly sore leg went looking for the
‘roo to see if he was ok and to talk about damage.
Howard, mate, this is Australia the ‘roos were here first.
|
Howard, Peter Craig and Steve enjoy a few refreshments at Cervantes before
the run back to Lancelin.
|
Ruptured!
|
On the subject of Howard and the ‘roo, within 1 km Howard's back tyre was
as flat.
Tyres don't look so good after being ridden at 80 km per hour for about 65 kms.
Howard you are a champ who else could have ridden the bike in that state...
|
Before the ride Col said take the tow rope as Steve's 2 stroke is sure to cark
it – well, he was right.
The 'ole KX had to be towed in by Roley's mighty 350cc 4 stroke.
|
4 stroker Towing a 2 smoker.
|
Just ridin' down the road...
|
After a stop at the Nurse's station at Wedge Roley, Peter, Craig and Howard were
pretty happy with the days run, head home looking forward to the next.
|
The beach just goes forever!
The snake we saw over there was this big!
Wedge Island...We Shall Return.
