New trails at Nannup
Riders: DazzaM, KyronM,Pete450,Twoody
Met at the normal parking spot at Nannup and with usual banter first up, we were geared up and on the bikes by 8.30. Wasn't too long before the first stop as the steering on my 450 was all over the place, so with a quick adjustment it was back on the bike and all good. I've not ridden some of the tracks out that way for awhile and certainly noticed that tracks have been hit hard by lots of riders, Nannup must be becoming more of a popular spot to ride.
Myself and Pete swapped the lead with showing each other the new trails that we have come across the last few times we have been out that way. I will have to thank the people who have spent a lot of time cutting new tracks thru the pines. There is one spot that I have mention to the guys before that I would like to try and cut a track up this very steep hill and only to find that someone has done it for me. With the drier conditions it wasn't too bad getting up but I reckon throw some water on it and it would be a totally different story.
We made our way to familiar tracks and some new ones that Pete had come across last time he and Terry were out that way. Dust wasn't too bad most of the time, but it is certainly drying out quickly.
We headed over to fence line hill to have a shot at getting up and the 450's made it up pretty easily, it was harder going down than up this time, with the rocks being quite slick and skatey. Kyron talked himself out of having a go, though the hill did claim another victim with Terry dropping the bike two thirds up the hill but he got back on the bike and carried on to the top only to show us his finger we he got back down. Must have got caught under the bike when it went down cause it wasn't pointing the right way.
So it was back to the cars for a beer and load Terry's bike up so he could get back home and get his finger checked out.
All in all another great Nannup ride. Cheers guy's
