Two old men and Eddie
“Two old men and Eddie” Mick was keen for a ride due to Monday’s rain and he knew I would be too, we arranged to meet near manning where I was staying.
A very civilised start as I had a breaky date, on the road about half nine. We headed up to the Rock inn and Mick had mapped a ride joining tracks from Tommy and pounce- cheers boys. We go into the bush close to the pub and headed towards dwellingup, not to hot not too much dust and only one big nasty snake, Mick leading myself sweeping and Eddie in the middle. The tracks were great a real mixture of tighter track more open trails an a little bit of dirt road to link em all in. Due to our late start we arrived at dwellingup at 2pm smashed a couple beers an some tucker and headed off towards Jarrahdale. After tow starting “Kate” bloody electrical drama- parts on the way! Staino’s footpeg to footpeg method works every time! So a bit of bitumen then we headed over to dandalup dam thru Jarrahdale and then down the hill towards home on the freeway of tears. Mick copped shit peak hour traffic from Thomas Rd thru to Kingsley all because of my breakfast appointment- sorry bro! Great days ride, nice an steady the two of us being old man bike pro-bies. Yeah the scary $1200 number plate fine is a huge issue, prob more on the enduro bikes any ideas anyone? I think my small illegal plate is getting binned, “it fell off” is prob better than “I made this small illegal one, that’s not evasion is it?” Who knows, fuggin fun police! Oh yeah lucky the cop busted Mick from behind as his headlight was not working- dirt bike God’s looking after him! Later ladies see ya’s at the piss up.
