Bali Enduro
Hey guys, I trust everyone had a festive season and is fat an happy! Just before Xmas I went on a trip to Bali, with the young guns from west coast single track. Here is a brief report and some vids (if I can forward them....) of the chaos, more info than anything for those thinking about a short cheap dirt bike trip in Bali. So a couple of the crew had been before an spoke highly of the trip an the tour group “Bali enduro” Putu the boss runs a sweet tour!
Day one: fly in day so we book rooms together at a cheap but good hotel in Legian, all meet up few beers an a feed with a show. Early night 7am start Day 2: 2hr bus ride (pre arranged by Putu) to the base grab a bike gear up an go riding great trails super slippery and always a chicken track, back about 4pm. After Steve flips bike on tar doing wheelies! Check the vids, a lot of skin left on the road- we blamed a Bali dog....... Beers food, another early ish night we all got same m.o. riding hangover free. Day 3: more great tracks an a killer slippery hill which beat me- pride gets left at home when riding with these guys- check the vid footage of Damon hydro planning across the river I drowned my bike in! Beach run in the arvo filled with stunts an mayhem to the next hotel. day 4: the 3rd an final day of actual riding. Another bus ride to the volcano then into it- massive runs at huge volcanic gravel hills, an this is where Shane an I had enough of riding so staged a crash......we bailed early due to injury’s and Putu sorted us a bus to Seminyak to our villa, we arrived about 2pm pretty sore an sorry and the rest of the crew about 7pm. Beers an pack fly out next morning Day 5 : fly home INFO: I guess this is what you want most 3 days awesome riding $1100 aud aprox Bike damage insured by them- no cost to us, they unbolt bent bits bolt straight bits on! Not a negative word said- this was unreal we didn’t take the piss but shit happens- I rode their bikes as I would my own......enough said eh! 2019 Ktm tpi exc 300 brand new mine had 12hrs on it, they have other bikes but we knew the 300’s were new so chose them on purpose. They can cater to any ability and were great to deal with, the guides were cool and having heaps of laughs at us crazy aussies (3 kiwis hehe) the whole trip including the first an last night accommodation which was on us flights beer etc about $2000 aud. They have hire gear, but fuck that I took all my own. This trip was a very cool short cheap trip, made easy by Mikey (mate from west coast single) organising everything there were 7 in our group This is a very short report watch the vids if you’re interested but remember the camera makes it look easy. ciao Hooters |
