The Pines.
 THE BOYS GATHER EARLY MORNING. WILL THERE BE ANYWHERE TO PARK OUT HERE???? A group of 9 riders turned up at the old tip for a bit of action around the MX tracks and then out for some fun on the trails. Marty would have loved it - around and around and around we went. It was then off for some fun on the trails. The group headed off down through those big deep sand whoops that everyone loves, through the middle of the trees over pine leaves and logs, down some hard packed trails and then a run through the old sand quarrys.  ONE OF THE NEW PLAYERS ADAM SHOWING THE BOYS HOW TO HOLESHOT A CORNER. After a short break to allow the older fellows (me) a breather, it was back over those whoops for miles and a trip around the back of the car race track. One of the new guys led a few loops around some nice hard trails, then some whooped out goat trails before returning to the cars after knocking up around 50 k's.  THE BOYS HAVING A REST. Another few laps of the tracks at the tip and the boys headed of for the same loop all over again. Everyone came home in one piece and then new riders looked like they had enjoyed themselves. Young WRJohn picked up rider of the day for showing some good pace and excellent riding skills. We just hate these young guys when they show us up. John is Poiter's (Peter) son, another of the new Crusty's players. Rich and Adam also showed some good technique throughout the ride. Grant moved the new improved KDX well through the trails after spending some big $$$ on the old girl. I still reckon a new plug was all he needed. THe cornerman system was well used which meant everyone stayed together and looked out for each other. Well done fellows.  DOESN'T GRANT'S NEW STICKER KIT AND GRIPPER SEAT LOOK FLASH. |
