MicKal, Pav, BigAl, Jack, Joemc, Slates, KatoTodd, Hazi, Bevan, Hooters First enduro ride of the season for some today, looking to free up those rusted joints with some awesome trails and conditions for the next 87km... Setting off from the Sawyers Tav around 9 with Mick leading us we all get into a decent pace moving through a mix of single trail, fireroads, and washed out ruts. A few early crashes from me, one right next to Hooters as he was watching the corner I slid out on. Slates had a bit of a tumble which caused the starter motor to stick on and we panickly tried to shut it off while he was catching his breath. Even caught BigAl having a mid ride nap amongst some comfortable bushes. A couple of optional hills came around which proved a slight challenge but some of the riders charged right up them, and others such as myself getting stuck halfway up and bumbling back down trying to stop the bike from cartwheeling down the hill. Afterwards everyone was well and truly warmed up and we got to see some side by side racing, some battles between riders, lots of gravel roost and other general hooliganism Finally just after 1pm we made it back to the Tav with little to no damage (except my headlight barely hanging on by cable ties) Thanks to Mick for leading us through these mint trails and Hazi for sweeping all the way to the end (Even waited for everyone to get served at the pub before him, what a legend) Will be posting a video compilation of the footage for some more interesting and funny moments And Cheers to all for a good ride, keen for the next one Pav         |
