Julimar forest hosted another star-studded event after the successful debut of “MickKal and the Nitro Circus”. This time it was “Captain Fat Pants Adventures”.

This was a semi-private event for Captain Fat Pants loyal TikTok subscribers and a few privileged CQ’s, who were lucky enough to snap up available spots rarer than Taylor Swift concert tickets. Some travelled a far from regional towns to be first to ride Captain Fat Pants debut single track. Pre-show entertainment was provided by various contributors around the camp fire at near freezing temperatures. Bert showcasing his home made dirtbike hand warmers made from modified Ugg boots that only a kiwi would be proud of.

Captain Fat Pants arrived fashionable late like every Rock Star does, sporting unique one-piece signature bib pants available shortly on the CQ’s merch store. With pre-show preparations taking longer than expected one Yamaha was finally pronounced Dead on Arrival, so Captain Fat Pants took to the stage and worked us up into a frothing frenzy of what was about to come our way.

He did not disappoint, the single track was damn nice, he blended creek runs, sandy trails, Jurassic Park scenery and deep gully’s into a mash up of single track utopia. At one stage he had to calm down his TikTok fan club and remind them of trail etiquette to not ride on each other’s tails and keep ending up in a tangled pile up at the bottom of a gully.

At half time Captain Fat Pants retired to the back of the stage for a well earned rest and let the legend of CQ’s aka “Tommy” entertain us further with flowing twin tracks, bike swallowing puddles and cumulating his set at the base of Hero Hill.

Here Captain Fat Pants came back on stage with angle dust residue still in his nostrils, to show us who the boss is and be first to conquer Hero Hill. Other optional chicken tracks presented themselves for the rest of us punters and we played around, photographed failed attempts of greatness, and ravel in the presence of Captain Fat Pants and his quick wit.

All good shows must come to an end, so Captain Fat Pants paid tribute to his childhood idol “Barry Manilow” and in a choreographed procession we meandered our way back to the cars.

Back at the cars invites were handed out to the after party at the Bullsbrook tavern with promises of pints, parmies and banter.
