The conditions could not have been better for a Lano - Cervanties run. 11 die hards turned out for a quick paced ride that was almost incident free. Howard set the pace up front and did a great job of controling a large group and therefore picked up ROTD. Roley rode sweep and made sure everyone was still moving in the right direction.

THE FIRST REST WAS AT WEDGE SO THE COMPULSORY GROUP PHOTO WAS TAKEN OUTSIDE NURSE ANNE'S FIRST AID POST.



BRAD THOUGHT COL SHOULD DO THE REST OF THE RIDE IN A WHEELCHAIR BECAUSE IT MATCHED HIS NECK BRACE.


After the Wedge rest the group rode on, up the beach for around 10 k's then back into the trails for the next 45 k's into Cervanties. Azza picked up a flat not far out of Cervanties and got a lift with the ranger in the back of his ute into town. Sorry mate, but that gives you a HOG award.



AZZA BORROWED A TUBE OF STEVE525 AND A QUICK TUBE REPLACEMENT TOOK PLACE. REMEMBER AZZA - THAT WILL COST YOU A CARTON OF CROWNIES!!



A COUPLE OF LADS RESTING AND HAVING LUNCH AT CERVANTIES.



EVEN SCOTTIE, HIS OLD MAN AND A MATE OF THEIRS TURNED UP AT THE ROADHOUSE. THEY WERE GOING TO RIDE BACK WITH US BUT REALISED THEY COULDN'T KEEP UP WITH A BUNCH OF PROS LIKE THE CQER'S.

Gazza picked up SOTD after going bush on the mighty KATOOM trying to climb a rutted out sandy hill climb. He mentioned something about finding it hard to ride without a clutch but if I can do it, I am sure he can.

The last rest stop was on the beach just before Wedge on the way home. I took a pic of the group and then a new Intro pic for Tiger when half the boys decided they wanted a new Intro pic with the Indian Ocean in the back ground. (They are all on the gallery if you guys want to use them - you can edit your Intro page yourself)

I DON'T THINK ROLEY WILL WANT TO USE HIS NEW INTRO PIC. JOHN THOUGHT HE MIGHT LOOK BETTER WITH A LITTLE SEAWEED DRAPED OVER HIS HEAD.

The last 45 k's home were fast and hard. The boys start riding like they were in a timed special test and I saw some great riding. Craig overtaking Col in top gear while sliding around a long corner. Other riders hitting big puddles of water at high speed and hoping for the best. The group got home safe and sound and by all acounts had a great day. It was John525 and Tigers first ride to Cervanties - Lets just say they are not virgins anymore.
