10 riders turned out for a top mornings ride from Sawyers Valley Tav, down the power lines to a secret location, back to the Lakes Road House for some fuel and food and then a scenic ride through some trails around the back of Mundaring.

Pointer picked up a flat not too far into the ride and returned to the car to change a tube over. His son John rode on with the group to complete the ride. Gazza turned up on a 650 Dakar which I am sure was capable of refueling the smaller bore bikes on the move. Gazza however did a great job keeping up on the big bike and riding sweep for us so he picks up ROTD.

GAZZA'S MIGHTY BMW.

A reasonable pace was kept most of the way and it didn't take long before we were at the end of the line and stopped for a breather and a chance for Cad to polish up on his wheelies.

THE SECRET REST SPOT. IF THE BOYS WERE WEARING ARMY GREEN YOU WOULD NOT HAVE KNOWN THEY WERE THERE.

THE BOYS WHO RIDE THOSE FUNNY GREEN BIKES.

There were no major offs today which was great. Cad came down early and put a nice dent in his new exhaust and broke of his front brake lever. Cliff came to the rescue with spare out of his bum bag and was heard saying it would only cost him a carton of Crownies. KxSteve gave Col a good spray of pea gravel not far from the end which was quite evident by the bullet holes in Col's stomache after he took of his riding shirt.

Leroy took us up and over some nice water rutted hills and Steve525 was seen pulling a good wheelie across a rather large water crossing that some didn't even ride through. Grant led the ride for one leg and had a step off up a knawly climb and nearly got ridden over by Col. He said he was trying to avoid a Bluetail but he does ride a Kwaka.

All in all - A top ride and great effort by the boys.
