The Grunta called a ride and promised some nice new goat trails and a loop down around the old stream and came up with the goods. Well done Grant, you certainly have a good sense of direction out there.

9 riders fronted up for some fun in the dust and thats exactly what we had. Two new riders came along. Scott on his YZF 250 and his missus Fiona on her little CR 230. Fiona showed the boys she could keep up and showed plenty of skill and pace through out the ride although Pete nominated her for SOTD after nearly t-boning when she came down. Scott also showed he has plenty of ability and is looking at getting back on board a 525 shortly.

John had a bit too much to drink the night before and were pretty hung over so only rode at "normal" speed for a change. John was sporting his motard trim and I must say it doesn't slow him down much even with slick tyres on. He picks up ROTD for his efforts.

Near the half way point, Grant lead usthrough a water hole and told us to be carefull as there is some deep sections. Col followed Grant through in second place but didn't quite take the same line and put the WR 's front wheel in a hole up to the tank. John slipped of a bank and put the KTM in a bit of a hole. Big Col Mc was pretty happy to see that someone else had made the same mistake as him recently.

Pete did the job of sweep and made sure everyone was OK. He also had a few step offs on the new 450 and says he puts it down to not quite being use to the bike yet. Dazza took is turn through out the pack and as usual had a big grin from ear to ear and is just happy to be out for a ride.

Although it was dusty and warm out there, I still had a good ride. I recon the hills rides are just about over for the summer but who knows - a cool change or a bit of moisture might see us back up that way soon enough.

OF COURSE IT IS A KTM!!!

AND THIS IS WHY IT NEEDED A DE-WATERING.

COL ALSO WENT DOWN TO THE TANK BUT TRUSTY WR'S ALWAYS KEEP GOING.

A REST SPOT

NO IT WASN'T VERY DUSTY OUT THERE WAS IT!!!
