Powerlines
RIDE REPORT - Powerlines - by Choko
The conditions were alot different to last week, it was very dry and dusty but therewas a strong cool breeze to quickly blow the dust away. 6 regular crusty's rocked up to tackle the power lines once again. Pounce was voted lead and on the other end Beau and Brett were fighting for sweep, the in between was filled in by DavidM, Tony and myself(choko). An 8 o'clock start became an 8.30 start but soon enough we were off. We were undecided to what ride we would do, so we all agreed to head off to the creek and decide from there. We reached the creek without any dramas and once there decided to do the bigloop that Chris had shown us a couple of months ago. We all enjoyed a nice steady pace as we made are way through the goat and fire trails to the steep climbs that Rocco and Col Mc tackled a few weeks back. DavidM was then the only one brave enough to have a go, and besides the one little hiccup on his first attempt, he then made it look real easy. What goes up ... ... must come down. After a 10 min break we moved on following the same route back to the powerlines and then on to the lakes road house for a quick bite. Pounce cooling off Choko getting wet Soon enough we were off again heading back to the cars. No Sotd was awarded today, but Brett said he'd pay me to give him ROTD so my vote goes to Brett. Thanks guys for another great crusty adventure. c u all soon |
