The Creek to York.
Ride Report
Players: Grant, In_Elysium (Garry), Lindsay Ride: Sat 5th Creek Bed/York Well it was an early start for the group, meeting up at The Lakes roadhouse at 7am with We then left in convey to the car park on the fringe of the creek beds and offloaded. It was looking like I was going to pick up the prestigious HOG award for the second time after my KaTooM decided to eat a plug before we had even moved!...but fortunately for me I banged in a new one and at first kick it was up and smoking. We started down the creek beds in the opposite direction to usual with Grant leading, and it doesn't seem to matter what time of the year you take a ride down the creek it always such a good laugh. The fine clay dust against the morning sun made for some interesting moments as well!!! From there Grant lead us up to the new section through some fast sandy corners, short whooped out section, a couple of hill climbs, then up to the new CQ jump area and then finally back down the creek beds. Overall was a top ride with nobody really getting close to nabbing SOTD, though Garry sure gave it a crack rolling backwards 3 metres on a 45 degree incline after loosing traction! And Grant had a moment with a small blackboy in the sanding section, but neither really worthy contenders. ROTD would have to go Grant for leading us throughout most of the ride. Another top ride fellas, cheers. |
