Over the last couple of weeks we have had big numbers come along for the rides. Today, only 7 guys turned up and it sure changes the day. H lead us on the new trails that Lethal had taken on a couple of rides ago and Roley followed at the rear of the field looking after the sweep position and keeping a good eye on Tiger who rode with him most of the way.

Col Mac was determined not to catch too much dust today and rode in number two position all day except for a couple of times he was dropped at a corner. His pace and determination today allowed him to pick up the ROTD award. Now this award doesn't make his arse look big but could make his head swell a little.

Choko and Hadyn were not too far behind Col most of the ride and both had some moments hard on the gas enjoying the really fast flowing trails. The new two wheel tracks are a bit deceiving and caution should be given to the fast drop aways at dunes, the odd deep whoop and closeness of scrub at boot height. The rest of the new trails should simply be ridden as hard and fast as you like although trying to remember that it is roo city out there and today was no exception. If you ever wonder what that funny noise is on the fast trails, it is just the rev limiter in top gear.

The temp was around 30 by late ride but at least the sea breeze blows on the coast and standing on the pegs at 100 kph keeps you cool. We had a quick look at the beach at Wedge and got the camera out for a couple of shots. It was actually quite funny watching Haydn trying to dig his back wheel in on the sand to get it to stand up by itself. It took several attempts while Col Mc and myself had a good laugh joking about the level of difficulty of such a task.

Another magnificent ride fellows. I enjoyed the new trails and a big thanks to H for getting us there and back.
