A nice size group turned up for over a hundred k's a goat trails. Although there had been plenty of rain around during the week I was told that dust was a problem back in the field. I don't know my way around the area very well but with the help of the GPS and a couple of other helpful riders we managed some nice trails taking in two loops and making it back to the cars on both occasions. Choko was up to his old tricks coming down on a succession of whoops and breaking his headlight and twisting the front end. That would be the SOTD award again buddy. Pete also had an off, injuring his ankle and his pride. The ankle required a bandage and a really good explanation to his misses who could possible throw him out. Andrew picked up the prestigious ROTD award for going hard the whole ride, showing some excellent riding technique and helping out with the directions. Much appreciated Andrew. A couple of others also helped out but hey guys, there is only one award. Gazza was allowed out of the retirement home for a squirt this morning and was pretty quiet. He bought along his mate mark who looked like he enjoyed himself. Hayden and Tony took off after the first loop - It must be their age!!!!! Steve enjoyed his first real CQ ride. He had no idea how hard goat trails were to ride and said he may not have been back if this was the intro ride. He did manage to keep it upright tho most of the time.     |
