Gnangara clean up day.
Well we bagged about 495 bags of rubbish, demonstrated to DEC that riders are prepared to pitch in and help manage riding areas, introduced the City of Swan Rangers (sorry, Customer Advocates) to Gnangara and invited them to return frequently to help clean up the hoon element, and cleaned up a good few hundred square metres of pines near Gnangara Road. Oh, and I got to fulfil a long-held ambition to drive a bobcat!
Thanks to all those Crustys mentioned by Daza, plus Brett, Boy Blunder, George, Ali, Fin and KTMSteve450 who were also there lending a hand. In total we had over 50 volunteers plus we handed out bags to many of the riders who just turned up for a ride. Overall a very worthwhile exercise.    |
