Magical Mick-stery Tour Part Deux

The second Magical Mick-stery Tour was called and 15 riders braved the cold and the fog and turned up for another great ride. 85kms of just about everything tracks,goat trails,hillclimbs,gullys,creeks, rocks,water,mud and a handful of whoops just to keep everyone on their toes. The ride started along gravel tracks through a open creek area onto a fire break, goat trails more overgrown windy gravel tracks with the occasional log laying across it that was the easy beginning to the ride. Then along a windy goat trail along side of a creek. Then we were into some good shitty shit, rocky trails with a few gullies and hill climbs and carnage. The first hill had Gazza and WRAdrian checking how hard the ground was and a few others getting a helping hand from the others that were enjoying the carnage. Then to another hill which we went down 2 riders had a go at going back up it DavidM got about half way up and Andrew made it to the top for his effort he picked up ROTD award. More gullies and goat trails and back into the easy stuff with a nice easy hill climb thrown in, around a farm then up a creek around a lake and more goat trails and gullies. Stack of the day was hard to pick at first with Gazza taking out a small blackboy on the first hill climb, Adrian for his consistency in coming off, 3 times in the first part of the ride, CRFMIchael for a helmet full of mud going up the creek and coming off in the same gully as he did the previous week. But Colin made the decision easy going through a gully and putting his foot under the foot peg instead of on top, a trip to the hospital has to be worth SOTD award.          |
