What a day 228kms and 16 CQer's. We were trying for over 250kms but with all he dramas which make dirtbike riding all the more fun, we had to cut the day short nd miss out a few sections in the hills and on the way back but we will do them nother time.

The 7.30am start was delayed by TigeR's bike not wanting to play until Col mc ook the seat & tank off and got his KTM fingers in the WR and got it going.

Into the sun, sand and dust we went and there was plenty of dust.

First we had a few kms of bitumen & limestone roads and fast flowing fire rails and pines to a quarry for the first easy challenge of the day, up the face of he quarry and along a short whoooped out goat trail with a few ditches just to add to the fun, and more fast fire trails. We had Hooters popping a wheelie and lipping his bike in 4th gear, and CRFMIchael with the first flat of the day and he second flat of the day a pinched tube while fixing the first flat.

All rested up we started to head towards Gin Gin in the sand though some small ines where at times you have to make your own track, and onto single 4WD tracks. About 20kms from Gin Gin we came across our second challenge a creek crossing where quite a few of us had dramas and needed help to get across. This was the first in a series of 3 times we had to cross this creek in different places.

The second crossing was easier while A few of us were assessing the creek depth Hooters came flying past went over the creek on his back wheel(for this he picked up ROTD) and got wedged between two trees came of and couldnt find his airbox cover(for this he picked up SOTD). This is where Col mac started to have his problems with his KTM not liking water.

The 3rd crossing had a few bikes having a little drink of water and stopping when they came out the other side all except for one of the new guys Andrew on his DRZ250 who laid his bike over in the creek and it sucked a belly full of water and had to be resusitated, Col mac's didnt like this water either and had problems getting to Gin Gin.

Refuel and lunch break at Gin Gin for about a hour and into the hills For some goat trails gullies and tracks, where Buddha took a big fall and laid on the ground for a while, while one of our new riders Allan a Paramedic took control and made certain he was ok. Due to a broken rear brake leaver he went home by himself on the bitumen.

There was more to see and do but time was against us so it was a quick trip through the hills and into Bindoon for fuel.

On the way into Bindoon we passed a Policeman on the side of the road. When we got into Bindoon at the service station the cop car came racing in with sirens & lights going and picked on Choko(might have been a race thing)and wanted to book him for speeding and failing to stop but with a bit of a heated discussion between the two the cop decided to let Choko off.

The final leg from Muchee was drama less, the first shit sand section when it finished up a hill had everyone saying f*ck that was good. With more fast sand & fire trail sections all the way back to the cars where Hooters bought a carton of light beer we had a beer and it just toped a great day off
