Christmas Dash

5 Riders turned up at OVT 2 regulars mick450 and Tommy and 3 new players KLX Pete,Darin and FuelTanker Allan. We had our usual riders meeting at 9am giving the new riders the run down on how the corner man system works and telling them that motorcycling is dangerous. Mick450 took the lead with Tommy as the sweep. We left OVT and went past Pinjar motor cycle area and out across Lake Pinjar (it was dry this time) and stopped for a regroup at the end of the lake where there were stories of KLX Pete never wearing his front tyre out as he was always on his back wheel. From the lake we went along nice sandy track to test everyone's sand riding abilities and into an old quarry for a few hill climbs up the face of the quarry. From there we got into some fast flowing fire trails and tracks around the back of Yanchep. We refueled on the road into Yanchep. FuelTanker Allan took the lead and led us to Pipidinny rd and then we headed into the old Crusty's play ground and rode the tracks and a few more hill climbs as we made our way back to the OVT. There was no stack of the day apart from Tommy stepping of his bike on a couple of hill climbs so there is no SOTD award ROTD award has to go to a new rider Darin. He has only recently got his DRZ and it is standard all the way down to his suspension settings and we all commented on how out of control he looked all the time. He was crossed up over whoops out of control in the sand out of control pretty much every where and he never fell of. Thanks to Tommy for sweeping.       |
