Andreas Australia Day Weekend Ride
Andreas last ride got off to a good start. Five riders turned up andrea, carlo, Darin, tommy and myself, meeting at metro rd. We hit the trails right on eight. Andrea lead us on some fast flowing single gravel tracks with a few little hill climbs which are always harder than they first look. We avioded the whoopy section coz we all know that's no fun. Coming back out on metro rd at the south end, Tommy got us GPS sorted, heading the right way north along metro rd. We looped back and done some of the same tracks to finish the ride off. We had no real sotd although I did find myself flat on my arse with the klx on its side facing the other way. Bit heavy with back brake. Carlo nominated himself for rotd but I do have footage of Carlo picking up the yam mid corner. I did see some sweet riding by Darin on his DRZ. Nice big driftys through coners and DRZ mountain goat up the rocky stuff. All up a great mornings ride with some good joking around at the breaks and nice cold frothy on the way home.
