Family Fun Weekend

Players: Goat, KLXPete, Tommy, CRF Tom, Pretz, Val, Mini Pretz Venue:Family Fun Weekend - Quindanning So 0430hrs in the morning Dads (KLXPete) poking me to get up to make our 0500hrs departure to meet Tommy and CRF Tom at 0600hrs at the Pioneer Village Crossroads for the trek down to Quindanning. All the weather reports were so far showing it was going to be a fantastic weekend (although a quick shower wouldve been nice to keep the dust down)> We get to the meeting place in Armadale at pretty much 0600hr and Dad decides seeing we seem to be a bit early it would be a good idea for me to shoot across the road and grab him a Maccas Coffee; and wouldnt you know it as soon as I make it to the other side of the road: Tommy and CRF Tom pull in. So the crew hit the road and a short 1hr+ were turning down the dusty track into the Quindanning Family Fun Weekend location. We drove in and found a parking spot and starting setting up camp for the weekend. Up go the tents, out come the beds and bikes off the trailers. We then headed over for sign-in, collect our numbers and listen to the safety chats and outlines for the upcoming weekend. All the formalities aside we decided to take a quick wiz around the track following the red track which ran for 10kms before lunch. Which we managed to fit a few runs in. The blue track ran for about 14kms had the special enduro tests and a gravel pit event on it which was pretty slippery but heaps of fun. Most of the weekend we spent riding loops, doing a few tests, and taking it easy. There was a mixed quad & bike event that was run for the first time at a T&E event. In all approximately 50 riders there; was a good number of riders as over the weekend there wasnt too overtaking that happened was a good event for the kids to get an idea of what its all about. Pretz, Val & Mini Pretz were there also out on the tracks. Catering over the weekend was great; full cooked meals roast Saturday nite etc thanks to the T&E club for all the work in making it such an awesome weekend Lots of effort was put into the event; with tents up for shade; awesome tracks. A few spills here and there; nothing that would take a stack of the day and no rides of the day.
