Midwest Christmas Celebrations
As the Midwest crew could not make it down for the recent Crusty Chrissy bash, a date was chosen to get together in Gero for a celebration of their own. Tony came around for a drink and quick hello but had to hit the road and go get some sleep with a 2.00 am start at work. Brownies misses could not make it but the rest of the wags were there to listen to all the dribble about bikes and rides. Jamie sent his apologies as he too had to be up at a sparrows fart to head out on the cray boats. Ifors wife Liz was a new comer to the group and quickly settled in fitting the CQ partner profile perfectly.
A BBQ and drinks were followed by some delicious sweets knocked up by Julie. Julie said she had used her wizzer to blend most of the ingredients which did raise some eye browns. Mervs tourettss appears to have kerbed itself and except for a couple of small outburst and calling Jimmie a cock head, he was very well behaved. Jimmie shared a joke about a guy doing a dolphin in a particular way and I wasnt sure where this was going as his actions looked like they were either practiced or perfected but the punch line did attract a good roar. Talk of a night ride drew some attention however Ifor was concerned about the 3 candle power on his KTM. Brownie and Colin suggested he could ride behind their DRZs which not only have standard Mackey Ferguson headlights but also the extra LED spotties. The Midwest has been dry and warm and it doesnt look like it will change until next wet. So it is stay at home in the aircon or brave the odd hot dusty ride. Lets go riding!!! See you all next year.
