A lot of the team is down at Manjimup this weekend doing the enduro, so this left a crew of 4 to fly the CQ flag in the pines area.
Marc450 and Dan (Husky mounted, and I believe has 1 CQ ride up already with Brad + guys?) turned up together, and not long afterwards, had Marcs bike trying to leave the bike trailer and join in sitting in the front of Marcs 4WD, when the blue beasty wasn't tied down. heh, off to a good start :)
We did the firetrail runs up to the tip area, and weather and track conditions were superb. Rain all night, then stopped for the 4 hours we were out there. A battery dislodged from the GPS, so I got a bit lost heading out of there, but that was good, because we found some more great tracks.
Nathan decided he was going to take a soil sample, so he faceplanted along a 4WD track and had sand caked on to his helmet. That was enough to secure SOTD (An award I didnt think would ever go to Nathan)
Headed back to the quarry, and Marc decided to dismunt 3/4 of the way up the big faces, which today were a bit more slippery than normal.
Dan did more than enough in my opinion to secure ROTD. Great riding all day from him, and he will be at the Mundaring trip next weekend.
I'd like to present myself with the tool of the week award. This time left my riding pants and CamelBack at home, so had to borrow Nath's trackys, and was good no one got a flat (repair kit lives in Camelback)
