It was going to be a standard Friday OVT ride. We were about 40kms in we pulled up for break Lindsay mentioned that he had some small chest pains. He didn't think much of it and put down to not being out on the bike as of late.
20 minutes later we pull up for a brake and Lindsay says he's chest pain had got a lot worse and thinks he can't ride on.
After a group discussion we decided to call for ambulance. I had a bit of an idea where we were, but when I pulled out the good old IPhone I knew exactly where we were. So we call 000 and said we have a couple of blokes on Wanneroo road to escort them in. I think from the time we called 000 to when they got to Lindsay was about 40 minutes.
I'd just like to say it was a great team effort an Crusty spirit.
It a good reason why we should never ride alone. Always have a full charged phone. I used the GPS kit app to locate the exact coordinates for the ambulance. I've also downloaded the free EMERGENCY+ app when you call 000 it gives you LAT and LONG to give exact location.

Lindsay - you had us worried!

Inver's knowledge of the area was key in getting the ambos there directly.
XRAdams & Inver showed the CQ spirit by organising picking up the ute, bike & gear (and even Adam washed it!)
Pep was in the mix helping out.
Lindsay was very brave in the circumstances. I would have been crying for my mumsie.

Black humour was never far away:

Me: Lindsay - that's a bit of a radical move to score SOTD!
Lindsay: Could be Death of the Day mate.

Inver stashed Lindsay's bike in the bush.
When Adam came back from bringing the ambos in, he said "Mate - Stevie Wonder would find that!" with Pep retorting "Don't worry it's a Yamaha - nobody would steal it anyhoo".

As Adam drove off in Lindsay's Hilux - "You do know I'm a Scouser? This'll be on Gumtree in a couple of hours".

Lindsay being tended to by the paramedics (who were awesome) - "Who's taking the photo for the ride report".
