Back in Black - The Return of Choko
here is todays ride report "Chocko's return" Pounce called a ride out at the lakes about Thursday, for sat, and nine of us showed up: Pounce, Chocko, Cleanman, Mexican craig, WR Ross, Husky Mike, Mick450, Rothy, Todd and myself. Everyone assembled at the lakes roadhouse me running late ( 3 minutes is still late- mick) and we headed off to the park up spot about 20 clicks away, it was great to see Chocko back, a couple of years since his last ride but you wouldn't know it by his riding. Pounce led the way with Husky Mike still on his trusty black pig sweeping. usual great trails with a bit of everything- even the weather did the righty and we had light rain but none of the predicted heavy falls. Rothy picked up a bit of wire and I had a couple of rear brake issues ( back to mechanics school for hooters ) No major offs by anyone just a great days riding with everyone on about the same pace. We arrived back at the cars not long after noon, so not a huge day just a very pleasant ride enjoyed by all with no drama's- gotta be happy with that! Rider of the day would have to go to Pounce for calling it with special mention to myself for getting my XR8 ute down a dodgy track that would've had Collin McRae and his factory WRX stuffed ( serve me right for not having a decent car- mick again!) I'm gunna claim stack of the day showing the crew how not to jump logs and Mike needs another point for yet again punting the "black pig" around and leaving a few of us wondering why we wasted ten grand on a bike...... Most of us called in at Sawyers valley and had a beer a pub lunch- where todd was flat out trying to ditch the hairdressers bike- not enough street cred- apparently!!! Good times plenty of laughs. cheers Pounce for leading and Mike for sweeping
