Time to call a different type of ride to mix it up so Justin called a 150km ride. Good turn out with 7 riders and an easy number to manage.
Straight into it after getting to the parking spot with fast flowing single trail and plenty of hills to get us fired up. Twoody started as sweep and we shared it around the rest of the day.
Some awesome single trails getting us through the early morning with top conditions and little dust. The recent rain made the hills easier as at least there was a bit of traction now and the clay has yet to be activated. Caught up with HusqMike at the dam with his crew of riders.
Came across a trail just before Collie that was log hoppers heaven. A chance to practice over a heap of decent size trees over the track.
Rolled into Collie for lunch and fuel. After the stopover and close to 100kms there were a few weary bodies when we got ready for the return leg.
Some racing on the return leg as Dazza and Marto went head to head along some great fire trails with large sweeping turns. Nearly back to the cars and just crossed the river when someone decides what about a couple of hill climbs to finish off. Justin says no worries and takes us straight into a tricky little climb with a tree right in the way of the turn. Stops a few of us and being a warm day makes it hot work.
Plenty of water in the pot holes the 4wd’s have churned up which will be deep wells after more rain.
Brilliantly led day by Justin. He cruises along effortlessly and at a great pace and makes the day flow really well. A thoroughly enjoyable day with a great crew. No injuries to report.

ROTD: stripperlegs, for making the effort coming down from NOR.
